From Where I Stand
Regional Scheduling Manager for Regina Area
My Work Today
“We currently have 13 non-integrated scheduling systems in use in the province, which creates unnecessary complications.”
“There is an opportunity to develop standardized provincial processes and gain access to timely, accurate data.”
Chris joined the health system 20 years ago, originally working in stores and distribution. Over his career, he has held a number of positions including supply chain, shipping and receiving and security. He moved into management approximately 11 years ago, with scheduling being his destination for the past 9 years.
When he is not working, Chris enjoys camping with his wife Robyn and his two sons. The family has camped at Greenwater, Crooked Lake and Clear Lake among other destinations around the province. “Anywhere the truck can pull our RV we’re open to checking it out.”
He is also a die-hard hockey fan. “I’ve been a hockey fan since I was 3 years old. I still go to the rink and attempt to play like I’m 20 years old, but afterward my muscles remind me that I’m not.” Chris has also been a life-long Toronto Maple Leafs fan and acknowledges, “between the Leafs and The Riders the fan support road can be a long and challenging one.”
